From October 16 to 18, 2024, the International Exhibition of Construction Equipment, Machinery, and Technologies CMEXPO and the Kazakhstan International Exhibition and Forum Infratech Kazakhstan were held in Astana, bringing together leaders of the construction industry. This event became a meeting point for professionals interested in new technologies and opportunities in the fields of construction and infrastructure modernization.

Among the speakers were Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.Z. Andakov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Roads of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.K. Bayakhmet, and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Kazakhstan Center for Modernization and Development of Housing and Utilities A.U. Madiyev, who emphasized the key directions for the industry’s further development.
Exposition
Over 60 companies from Kazakhstan, Russia, China, and other countries showcased more than 70 units of the latest construction equipment. On a space exceeding 5,400 square meters, cutting-edge technologies and equipment were displayed, attracting over 1,500 specialists over three days of the exhibition.

The central element of the business program was the Astana Construction Forum, which gathered key players of the construction market, including developers, designers, distributors, and suppliers. Discussions focused on the results of 2023, market resource shortages, and the potential for 9% annual growth. Experts shared their insights on how government spending and support measures could accelerate industry development.

Water supply issues were not left out: on October 17, a round table on the water industry was held, discussing new tariffs, digitalization of water resource management, and modern safety approaches.
Special attention was also given to a seminar on energy efficiency in housing and utilities, where experts discussed modern approaches to reducing energy costs in multi-story residential buildings. Successful energy-saving cases were presented that could be implemented in Kazakhstan’s housing and utilities sector.

International Cooperation
This exhibition not only demonstrated the importance of updating the construction industry but also created a platform for strengthening international ties. During the event, a meeting between German and Kazakh entrepreneurs was held, aimed at fostering collaboration and promoting free trade with Eurasian countries.
